Hello, friends! My name is Michael, and I'm a software engineer with a passion for code, cycling, my family, and most importantly I'm a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and that's why I've decided to start this blog, titled "Known." So, why "Known" for my blog title, you ask? Well, folks, it all boils down to one fantastic and fundamental concept: being known by God. In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to feel like a lost sock in a laundry machine. We're chasing after success, fame, fortune, and the perfect Instagram shot of our avocado toast. But amidst all the madness, we sometimes forget the simple yet profound truth – God knows us inside and out. Now, don't go thinking this blog's about to turn into a Sunday sermon! But bear with me, because this is some truly amazing stuff. You see, there's this verse in Jeremiah that says, "Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart" (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV). Basically, God had us in His cosmic rolodex even before we were a twinkle in our parents' eyes. He knows our deepest thoughts, our struggles, our joys, and our potential. In a world where it's easy to feel invisible, not-enough, discontent, or overlooked, this knowledge is incredibly comforting. I'm hopeful to use this blog to adjust the lens that I use to view life. To bring things back to God. To be content in the moment. To be richer for the experience of God's wonder. To remind myself that I am Known.
